A Fish Story

In my youth, I kept pigeons, had a desert tortoise, a red-eared pond turtle, a Sheltie dog, and lots and lots of fish.

The number of aquariums I kept increased with my age. I have no recollection of how I got them or how (or if) I paid for them, but I remember having at least a half a dozen in my teenaged years.

I remember attempts at breading Siamese Fighting Fish, exploring the strange behavior of the Egyptian Mouth Breeder when they were first available, yearning to have first-class examples of fancy guppies, and the time by brothers broke my fish tank, and all the fish were flopping on the floor. So many precious and poignant memories.
